SUMMER PRIEST-IN-CHARGE
The Vestry and I welcome the Reverend Stefani S. Schatz, who will serve as Priest in Charge in July and August while I am away on a "mini-sabbatical" in Europe. I will be spending some time in Paris and at the ecumenical monastery in Taize, France, and at sacred sites in Geneva, Switzerland. Stefani will provide leadership and oversight of the parish in addition to her responsibilities as Director of Religious Education. I am grateful to the Vestry and my colleagues on the staff for this opportunity for refreshment and renewal.

SURROUND THE SPIRIT
On Pentecost Sunday, May 15, we gave thanks for all who have made a commitment to the future of our parish by their generous donations and pledges to the Surround the Spirit campaign. Please see the report on STS in this newsletter. We owe tremendous thanks for the leadership of the co-chairs of Surround the Spirit, Tom Nutt-Powell, Peter Stringham, and Laura Vennard, and to who gave generously in this wonderful effort.
SPIRITUALITY AND JUSTICE AWARD
Thank you to all who participated in the special service on May 14 when we presented the All Saints Spirituality and Justice Award to Bishop V. Gene Robinson, Episcopal Bishop of New Hampshire. The citation on the award read: ìYour deep spiritual faith is expressed in your advocacy to safeguard equal rights for all of Godís children and your courage in the face of opposition as the first openly gay bishop in the Episcopal Church. Your inspired preaching, gifted teaching, and creative leadership to promote clergy wellness and youth ministry are an example to us all. You effectively serve Godís people in your diocese, our province, and the national councils of our Church and you inspire hope in countless others who see in you an embodiment of Christís injunction to love others as God has loved us.î A gift of $500 in Bishop Robinsonís name was presented to the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund. Special thanks to our choir and Schola, all who assisted with the service, and the Gay and Lesbian Saints who prepared a sumptuous reception following the service.
Best wishes to all for a refreshing and renewing summer!
