Peace Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Lord,
make me an instrument of thy peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born
to eternal life.

Amen

St. Francis

Centering Prayer at All Saints Parish

Sundays from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
(before the 10:30 worship service)
led by Martha Bullock and Peter Stringham

Quieting the mind and feeling open to spending time in the presence of God is an ancient form of prayer with transformative power. Its method speaks gently and clearly to the modern world. The results of this quiet deepening open us to the beauty of God's world and the profundity of His presence and love. Join us to learn and practice this ancient technique. We meet in the Quiet Room downstairs every week, from September through June.

For information, please contact Peter at Peter.stringham@gmail.com or Martha at Msbullock1@aol.com. To learn more about centering prayer, visit the Centering Prayer website.
