All Saints Family Sabbath
March 24-25

This year at All Saints, the stewardship committee has proposed that during Lent we all pledge at least one 24-hour period as a "Sabbath Time," a time of rest and relaxation during which we give up attending to jobs, commerce - the day-to-day busyness of our lives - and restore, refresh and deepen our relationship with God.

This 24-hour period can be taken at any time - it does not have to be on a Saturday or Sunday. It is simply a way to observe the commandment to remember a day of rest.

For those who want to observe Sabbath with others in the parish, however - either as their own 24-hour Sabbath Time, or in addition to a day they have already set aside - the Stewardship Committee has planned a Family Sabbath beginning with the evening of March 24 and continuing through Sunday afternoon March 25. It will offer opportunities for fun, creativity and spiritual rest and growth. The plan follows. Please note: You may be part of as much or as little as you choose. It is fine to drop in, leave, come back, or be there for the entire time.

During the Sabbath Time, "stations" will be set up in various parts of the building to which you can go and stay for however long you want. There will also be various "events" at specific times. A schedule for them will be posted. Everything is open to people of all ages - from children to seniors. Infant/child care will also be available.
